Gypsum is a by-product of Phosphoric acid production.It is marketed under the brand name FACT Gypsum. FACT Gypsum contains 16% Sulphur and 22% Calcium. Both of these are plant nutrients required for the growth of the crops and improving the quality of the crop produce. Sulphur containing gypsum helps in improving oil content in oil seed crops. In addition, this is a fertilising soil ameliorant helpful for reducing the alkalinity of the soils .In Groundnut, it enables easy penetration of peg into the soil and subsequent pod formation.
